When I was younger I used to think I had all these expectations for what type of city or society I want to live in. Now, I think it's very simple. I want to live in places where, if someone says 'wokeism is a disease!' They get laughed at.
No exceptions. I don't need much else. Oh, recognition of queer and trans people and marriages and immigration benefits for queer and trans people too. But that usually comes with laughing at 'wokeism is a disease!" people.

(Sadly, this also excludes my home country, which *loves* 'wokeism is a disease!! From the west!! It also does not have immigration benefits for queer and trans people.)

Singapore politicians keep banging on about the dangers of 'wokeism' but it's the alt / far right people who are actual threats to society. All woke people want in Singapore is queer marriage and for the state to not discriminate against trans people.
Far right people, like elsewhere, want to be violent

@skinnylatte I'd add economic stuff, how it treats poor people, is there anti-homeless architecture and similar as well!

@noalsilencio in the little bubble of california i've moved to, those things still hold true, despite *all of the other problems*. it's much better than where i came from on those points
