Evan Prodromou (evan@cosocial.ca)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2024 00:57:52 JST Evan Prodromou @johnefrancis Seriously? Canada seems much more strict. Limits on direct contributions to parties by individuals, no corporate contributions to parties, and third-party advertisers (kind of like PACs) have spending limits. There's always room for improvement, but it seems way, way better than in the US.

Bruce Elrick (virtuous_sloth@cosocial.ca)'s status on Monday, 16-Dec-2024 01:13:22 JST Bruce Elrick @evan @johnefrancis John might be referring to Alberta provincial limits. The ANDP introducted limits on corps and unions (!) in the mid 10s and the UCP just repealed them.
