Interesting information about the invention of the #DirectDrive #Turntable.

After finally finding a motor which was slow enough engineers noticed a noise. This only disappeared after testing the turntable during the night. A nearby train track was the cause.
While the motor had no problems with low temperatures they found no solution for high ones. So they added #PitchControl, shifting the problem to the users.
