i hate grinding in games.
if your game is any fun I'll play it for hundreds of hours without you forcing me to spend that much time just to be able to complete it.
how about you make a better game next time.

@snacks depends on the game it usually is not in jrpgs.
i mean it's "optional" but enemies one-hit you with 0% chance to miss so de-facto grind-to-win.

@lucy moat newer games avoid level grind ig but it's an easy way to artifically increase playtime and some people just value games on how much time they waste

@lucy this is the worst thing about game design, at this point, games are designed with arbitrary progression systems, just so there is some sort of forced player retention because people like to collect everything..
those games typically aren't fun.
CoD used to be one of the worst offenders in that regard.
