   Honestly, the part I'm the most proud of

   is that this cis 12 year-old boy

   invited 4 girls to his escape room party of 7

   One plays bass in his band (and starred in the play), and another plays keyboards in the band too.

   The other two were in the play too

   one of *them* is his engineering bestie from science class, who showed up wearing a baseball cap saying "SPACE: it's kind of a big deal"

   The kids are all right, & they are SO MUCH LESS hung up on performing gender than us Gen Xers

     Have just stuck my kid and six of their friends in an escape room — I swear they asked for it

     But now I get a few minutes to breathe on the outside

     Smart kid parenting problems, though — not sure I'll get the whole sixty minutes to breathe
