Nazo (nazokiyoubinbou@urusai.social)'s status on Saturday, 14-Dec-2024 20:33:18 JST Nazo @kaia @Error I think it gets a more direct route to the CPU than some other PCI-E devices if I'm not mistaken. The directional arrow might be a bit misleading too.

NRoach44 (nroach44@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 15-Dec-2024 22:22:54 JST NRoach44 @kaia @Error This isn't accurate to most desktops now: the north bridge is integrated, but the south bridge usually isn't.
Most desktops will have one or two PCIe slots wired straight to the CPU, and the others go through the south bridge (which itself connects to the CPU via PCIe as well)
