I'm not even a moral absolutist and I want to watch them all burn.

@WhiteApe @QuisSicutDeus @judgedread :SadisticNagatoro:
The major blood vessels in the human body are mostly buried deep and are not at risk from a recreational flaying. Blood loss induced shock is not a risk as long as the operator stays superficial and doesn't go digging with sharp objects. What can cause shock and loss of vital signs is dehydration, which is why if you are going to remove large amounts of epithelium from a subject you want to start an IV first and run multiple liters of fluid into them while working (assuming you want them to stay conscious). Trauma burn charts can help you calculate the exact amounts of fluid to run in. You can also use temporary bandages or styptic to deal with persistent oozing.
Tl; dr an operator that knows what they are doing can keep the subject awake and vocalizing for several (>6) hours at least

@QuisSicutDeus @judgedread Uh, do you really want me to answer that question? Because you aren't gonna like my responses.

@judgedread Their evil is so cartoonish and comical that they honestly merit being flayed alive at this point and having their cured skins being used as upholstery for governmental furniture
Just to drive the point home about bad behavior

@TrevorGoodchild @judgedread Mein Gott... how long could a man stay conscious while that was happening?
