   Japan's declining birthrate and aging society will close roads and other areas in rural mountainous regions to traffic.
   Without a budget to maintain roads, people cannot live around them.

     This seems like good news for the wild life.
     I was amazed to see a picture of Brown Bears on the street in Hokkaido.

     @kotaro The sad part is that Japan is one of the few societies I have known that is oriented toward the safety of children.
