One of the reasons I insta-block and don't engage reply guys is I've seen what happens to EVERY SINGLE WOMAN who makes a post, writes an article, or publishes researches that makes a point cis-het white men don't want to hear.
There was research showing a post-election surge in misogyny at schools and the woman involved, while she got a lot of supportive messages from parents whose girls were going through it, also got inundated by random men demanding she make time to talk to them individually about the research methodology, the data, her personal life, etcetera, etcetera.
Earlier today I had a couple of guys who thought I was being unfair to atheists by bringing up what is one of the most common complaints amongst women about male atheists: that they maintain their indoctrinated sexism through pseudo-scientific justifications instead of, you know, working through that.
It's always telling when someone thinks I'm accusing them specifically, too, because everyone else gets it's just a generic observation.
