     My elder kid is an openly trans naval officer who teaches at the academy.

     They’re 41, badass, an Olmsted Scholar…and I am fierce about them.

     And yet I know I can only imagine how military parents of trans kids denied their care must be feeling. This kind of trauma can be paralyzing so we civilians must bombard our congress with letters demanding they stop caving to peer pressure and give a damn.

     I’m going to confer with my kid this weekend.

     81 spineless democrats voted to throw trans children under the bus.

     More ink on my hands composing my outrage.

     If they’ll do this to children they’ll do it to all of us.
