     One of the things I think may be happening is that everyone is realizing that it's not just them and their friends who've gotten screwed over.

     It's everybody.

     Literally everybody,

     except

     for the C-suite crowd.

     A dog could figure out that equation.

     @munin Not just realizing that everyone is getting screwed over, but that everyone knows the same thing they do, that everyone is getting screwed over.

     The Blue Eyes riddle, despite being a highly artificial "perfect logicians" scenario, was a huge turning point for me seeing this distinction in all kinds of social phenomena.
