   We’re supposed to be coming up with solutions for making the world more energy efficient and new ways to conserve fresh water. What are we doing? Spending billions on AI and crypto that waste enormous amounts of water and power for no discernible benefit to humanity then to create speculative paper wealth for a few rich douchebags.

     @davidtoddmccarty We're going to do what we do with most things regarding this technology.

     The tech in and of itself offered and offers promise. It's how we humans choose to use and abuse it to score that paper wealth that fucks It up as well as most things adjacent to it.

     We're not a smart bunch and if the starting point for AI is what we've spewed out on the Internet, the joke will eventually be on us.
