Capitalism has "worked" in the sense that it has achieved its intended purpose, that being privatizing the means of production into the hands of individual owners and compelling workers to sell their labor to capitalists for wages. It's not that capitalism hasn't worked. It's that the way capitalism works isn't in the interest of the workers, or at least it no longer is, since capitalism was useful in concentrating workers into... 1/2
