   @NaClKnight The "small online community" narrative for instances was always stupid. The role of instance is your T&S and privacy union, not your "community".

     I realize that i definitely don't care about the "local" feed of any server I've been on.

     I don't want to be a part of a small online community when accounts from smaller servers see fewer replies to the same post than accounts from bigger servers do and face a much greater risk of waking up to read "I'm tired of running a server. you all need to vacate the premises" from their admins
