Hi, I am #NewHere and still finding my way around, but so far I love this low key, less performative, less censored space. I am a #Permaculture practitioner, ex-academic and introvert. I am deeply concerned about the #MetaCrisis but see it as a possible window into a new way of thinking and living as if we are really, actually part of nature. Right now I am exploring my possible role in the coming transition.

But low-key didn't last long for me (in a good way). It was relatively quiet and low-key for a little while, while I found follows and got to know people. Now it's about as stimulating as I can stand!

Sara Hammer (sarajhammer@mastodon.social)'s status on Wednesday, 11-Dec-2024 11:07:10 JST Sara Hammer @lindawoodrow indeed! I am beginning to see your point. Lots of amazing people, stories and info here. I spend more time here than on FB these days. I do notice though that FB seems to promote more #DoomScrolling than here, but perhaps that is just me, or is it by design?

Linda Woodrow (lindawoodrow@mastodon.social)'s status on Wednesday, 11-Dec-2024 11:36:54 JST Linda Woodrow @sarajhammer I got to the point of enough follows who post enough to lure me into doom scrolling, so I started using lists. Whenever I find myself boosting or favoriting someone a lot, I add them to a "besties" list. The scroll though the besties is a lot shorter.
