     @chrisnelder @GottaLaff The article text says the energy would be “5000 gigawatt hours” now. I don’t know if they updated it.

     @GottaLaff I assume that should read “eight percent” (not per year) and GWh not GW.

     So many in the press still have a long way to go to achieve basic literacy in energy… 🙄

     nod Watts seem confusing to a lot of people, and Watts times hours more so. I guess if we used Joule/second and Joule instead, respectively, like we do meters/second and meters, then such dimensional errors wouldn't be made quite as often

     @lxo Correct, but I’m not holding my breath for that. Hell we can’t even get primary schools to teach energy units along with all the other units they teach!
