     @jeffcliff I have lived all over the US. It is a cultural thing. Some places everyone buys it. Other places have a fend for themselves attitude.
     I'm worth more dead than alive. It's just a thing in my family.

     @jeffcliff I've never insured anything at all, since I was a kid I realized that giving someone money today in the promise of getting it back sometime in the future doesn't work for the most part
