I don’t mean to humble brag (Pinocchio)… but here’s my local #homebrewing club’s advent holiday event!
(my # was 10, black IPA & Vienna lager)

Dec. 8: “DAMN GOOD IPA”
Damn good, damn flat.
Day 4: Dry Irish Stout
Some harsh scoring on this one apparently for a brew competition, but I was it was a delight.
Need to circle back one day and learn more about BJCP scoring. Is it revered on measurable data, or subjective like artistic sports like figure skating?
Great regardless while playing family board games!
Dec 5: Red Ale
Other club members also picked up diacetyl present. Which in sips “can” be a buttery treat. Some extra fermentation and cold crashing might have taken this beer to another level!
Dec 6: Blonde Ale, “Snaps!”
Tastes same bittering and malt as a lager, a bit of chill haze but great clarity. Nice lacing. Just a good beer #TGIF!
Dec 7: “Santa’s Sac of Jungle Jam”, PB & J Beer
Fun dessert beer! Very tasty, under-carbonated. LOVE the labelling!!!
I’ll share the advent beers 🧵
Dec 1. “Ginja Ale”, Parkinson’s Law Brewing
Was delicious gingerbeard tasting ale. Looked great as holiday brew.
I thought the branding was damn clever and had me thinking of ideas for next year.
Was a little under carbonated (which was a relief TBH, we’re all human in this club).
5% ABV, nice dessert brew after dinner… well done! 👏
Dec 2. “Helle Ya!”, The Grind Brewery
🤯 Perfect balance, lacing, taste, clarity. Was so good and honestly everything I want my lagers to be in the future. This brewer made some hazy I’ve tried before and I begged for the recipes because they were so good. Plus I too want to package in cans one day…so impressive all around!
Dec 3. “Kellerbier”
From brewer: If you're drinking beer #3 today...that would be mine. It's a Kellerbier. Unfiltered and a short maturation period. It was made with Heidelberg and a bit of Vienna malt to give it some toastiness. Hops are Mandarina Bavaria...let me know if you get any citrus off of those. Hope you enjoy. Cheer!
Me: Enjoying immensely! 🍻
