Yashar Ali: "Syrians have the right to celebrate the fall of the House of Assad without being lectured by non-Syrians about the reality of their future. Assad ran a police state of a frightening degree, and he also burned down his country to stay in power, destroying entire cities and killing hundreds of thousands of Syrians to keep his regime in place.
