Received as a present: the story of Rose Valland, overseer of the Jeu de Paume museum in WW2. She had front row seats to the shameless theft of countless artworks by the nazis. She dutifully recorded what was being shipped where. After the war, she spent a decade retrieving most of the stolen art.
The first half of the book is a biography in comic strip form; the second half is a chronology of Valland's life. A true war hero, and one of the most decorated women in French history.
