chiasm (chiasm@mastodon.online)'s status on Monday, 09-Dec-2024 06:32:56 JST chiasm @amydiehl interesting! I've found as soon as anyone of any sex tries it for a work-related goal, they often start using regularly, with the usual caveats that it's not deep or brilliant. But it's great at the mind numbing tasks you don't want to do anyway, that don't have to be innovative.

Amy Diehl, Ph.D. (amydiehl@mstdn.social)'s status on Monday, 09-Dec-2024 06:32:58 JST Amy Diehl, Ph.D. Women may use AI less than men for because AI is male-typed, they don't have time to experiment, or they think it is cheating. All valid. But AI is not going away. It is important for all of us to learn when AI is useful, when it isn't, and AI ethics. https://time.com/charter/7200546/what-to-do-about-ai-adoption-gender-gap/
