I crave live Jazz. I am grateful to live in Louisville, which has a much more active and interesting live music scene than where I'm originally from, Oklahoma. The jazz portion of the scene seems to be hotting up lately. I haven't had this kind of music in my ears since I lived in Denver, and hung out at El Chapultepec, listening to players like Ron Miles (R.I.P). Thirty odd years ago. Chris Merle (clmerle@mstdn.social)'s status on Saturday, 07-Dec-2024 23:55:33 JST Chris Merle @tinydoctor Tucson has a lot of live music (including a few Ronstadts). There is only a little jazz as far as I can tell, but I haven’t really been looking for it. It seems to be mostly folk and singer songwriters.

I had an old fashioned, and a boulevardier (with rye, as is proper); the old fashioned was excellent, the boulevardier was the best I've ever had. I liked the rye whisky so much I bought a bottle. Also, a repeal party, with flappers.
