   How come no mainstream media seems to have picked up on the fact that the photos the NYPD (ACAB) have released show guys in two different jackets? Seems like they're just finding other surveillance footage of people who vaguely look like the shooter.

   This is why mass surveillance is bad: it enables fishing expeditions like this and dramatically increases the chance innocent people will end up getting charged with crimes just because they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time wearing the wrong thing.

     I suppose it's remotely possible that these are the same person, but by what means could anyone possibly conclude that they were? They have nothing in common.

     No article even seems to show the different sets of photos together. They just focus on the "unmasked" photos with a guy wearing an obviously different jacket than the guy in the "masked" photos.

     The guy whose face they show has:

     1. A different hood
     2. A different color jacket
     3. Breast pockets on his jacket
     4. A different color bag (which appears to be a duffel or messenger bag, not a backpack)
     5. A differently shaped nose
     6. Different eyebrows

     NYPD are flat out lying.
