On campus today, saw a guy knock loudly on the women's restroom, announce "Maintenance, coming in!" and walk in without waiting for any reply.

It turns out he *was* maintenance, but for a man entering a women's restroom with the intent of doing harm, it's that easy. One doesn't need to claim to be trans; one only needs to claim to be cleaning.

I wonder if those pushing trans bathroom bans also want to ban janitors.
