     @SpurgAnon I mean they line is already going to be "to prevent Trump from politically prosecuting them!" - they've floated this on some roundhouse talk program. But the response is then "ah, like they did to Trump?"
     
     But specifically each major political actor that gets pardoned is both political power and also an admission they won't be able to inflict pain back to punish for the action, which then dampens further action.
