@quad @pony according to some shitty article i found online the point is to reduce wear on usb-c cable which i find complete bullshit and it really feels like they just have fuckton of aviator connectors lying around with no use. I have three usb-c cables on my desk, including one connected to keyboard. -

@hj@shigusegubu.club @quad@akko.quad.moe @pony@blovice.bahnhof.cz lmao, USB-C connectors are genuinely one of the highest cycle-rating connectors generally available, most industrial connectors have quite low ratings usually around a 100 mating cycles - they are mostly meant to resist external stuff getting it and breaking the connection, rather than reliably connect stuff under constant connection-disconnection cycling.
