Some friends we've known for 30+ years came to visit. A woman and her mom. Mom, an immigrant single mother, daughter had a disabled child at 16. Heavily supported by state and federal aid their entire lives.

Now... Big trumpies. So, yeah, Uber Christian son-in-law plus moving to Georgia, we should have known.

But I wonder if they realize (or care) that announcing it like it was just choosing a different meal, but for us - and everyone else on the planet - that was a massive attack on our families, our future, a body-blow to those of us with gay/enby kids/family.

I wonder if they know they just got disinvited to every single family event for the foreseeable future.

It's now a one-day choice. It's not "oh, I didn't know". This time, it was an attack on my children. An active and intentional attack that could very easily cut their lives short.

I wonder if they have any idea how serious we take this.

People I've known for 30yrs and now are simply "trump supporters I know". Ugh
