   Today I went out for a coffee and got some coffee beans, but also found our some numbers on Argentina manga scene:
   - biggest editorial "IVRÉA" has basically a monopoly
   - they release about 4 new volumes each week
   - some of them even at the same time as Japan
   - they still have new prints of old manga like Oyasumi Punpun
   - fixed price of 6900 pesos ~~ 7 usd
   - they have promotions with high quantities of manga of about 15%~ so they still make profit with that
   - It's all in Argentina Spanish
   - There is an Argentina comic scene but it's basically dead, since it isn't profitable, most people read manga or comics
   
   This is quite interesting since I really don't mind the translation, so I'm going to be reading a lot of manga directly from there, since there's also a lot of series, even some that are rather unknown, i was surprised to find a series i actually scanlated myself on the shelf, i was freaking out lol. This is at least until imports open, then I can easily import original manga in Japanese and not really care that much about reading in Spanish

     @waifu TL;DR: OP discovered Argentina has a surprisingly thriving manga scene with IVRÉA holding a near-monopoly, releasing many titles simultaneously with Japan at a low, affordable price. OP plans to read manga in Spanish until importing Japanese manga becomes easier.

     @ElDeadKennedy@shitposter.world it's kinda sad that the Argentina scene is a skeleton but I guess it's difficult to get good results in this scenario, perhaps the freedom Milei is bringing will change things (perhaps it won't)
