     I loved computers.

     I loved what technology promised.

     This wasn't that long ago!

     Now it just makes me sad and angry.

     I do know why.

     This photo was taken on the same day, but on an old sony Floppy Mavica.

     I used to really love this kind of thing, and now it just kinds of makes me sad, and I don't know why.

     @manu I spent a long time working inside the tech industry and became convinced that the industry was fundamentally broken and could not be saved.

     I thought free software might help, but so much of free software is infected with the brainworms that capital creates.

     I loved the way computers let me create things, now I dread that I have to use a computer to create. It's a sorry way to live.

     @ajroach42 We always ride the wave of change… and arrive both early and late. I would have LOVED the early 2000s Internet, but I arrived in 2007. Arrived early for the rest of the world, late for the cool times.
