   (I would never begrudge Christmas joy to those of you who love this time of year, and I will keep my misgiving about it very quiet other than rare comments like this one. But I am counting down the days until December 26.)

     I wish North America had Krampus parades like Austria and Germany do.

     In related news, I would like to file an official complaint with my ancestors for abandoning this tradition. They should have included their descendants in that decision. 😛

     (But, seriously, this is refreshing when compared to the social pressure to always be happy and sugary sweet as Christmas stretches itself out over multiple months).
