     As is common with desktop Amigas, the rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery of the real-time clock had leaked its electrolyte all over the motherboard 😦

     @penguin42 Magnifying visa? You mean glasses with built-in magnifying glasses?

     The Amiga 3000 board was not yet SMD, so I should be able to work on it without magnification.

     Though I'll have to fix my reading glasses 😂

     Luckily, my PCB isn't as severely damaged. The spill might not have reached the sockets of the Amiga chipset: Paula, Super Denise and Super Fat Agnus.

     These custom chips constitute the vital organs of any Amiga computer, and the ECS variants are probably the rarest.
