     That line about “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb” is going around again; be aware it was made up in the 1990s, with no source backing up the claim that it’s older. It became popular among messianic cultists, and they have made many websites and memes asserting it’s ancient, but it’s a modern fake.

     You can celebrate your chosen family without needing that particular phrase.
