   @flisk you don't have a real software project if you don't have an eight year old open issue referenced by about two dozen other newer issues and a few "this is coming in the next release" posts that are five years old themselves

     i almost wrote a feature request issue on a github project but they said to read their contribution guidelines first and they openly state that they auto-close issues after 180 days of inactivity, so i changed my mind and didn't write the feature request : )
