Imagine if flight attendants handed out free N95 masks before take off instead of just hot towels. Every public place is a key opportunity to educate people and normalize masks.

And yes, a big reason why more public health awareness doesn't happen at transit facilities is because airline CEOs want to pretend viruses don't exist, and they successfully lobbied the CDC to reduce public health guidance.

For those who think that airlines handing out free N95 masks is impossible, many international airlines gave passengers “hygiene packs” (which included masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves) at the start of the pandemic. They should have continued.
