     Imagine being one of the few yeast cells who predicted that outcome but were unable to convince the others and now cannot leave the petridish.

     Other yeast cells think eating the rest of sugar as quckly as possible will allow them to come up with a solution to the restrictive petridish or give them a way of leaving it altogether.
