@LifeTimeCooking I've heard about it but haven't looked. I used to use GoodReads quite a bit but I just felt like it was getting really spammy. I moved over to @bookwyrm and I've been pretty happy. My profile is @seanbala@bookwyrm.social. Like much of the Fediverse, it takes some elbow grease to get started but I like many of its features. I like that I post a review there with hashtags and even mentioning the author and it shows up here. It was the first app the showed me the potential of the Social Web.
@LifeTimeCooking@bookwyrm@seanbala@bookwyrm.social I chose to move my data from Goodreads over to Bookwyrm. In hindsight, I think I should have started over. I had to spend time editing and cleaning up book records. But I kind of liked the experience of fixing covers and descriptions - I feel like I'm tidying up one corner of the internet. It's not for everyone but I think it is one of the Fediverse apps that has real potential going forward if the kinks can be ironed out.
