   that phenomenon…,everything on instagram is a video because incentives, artists will post their art in video format only, and you can never actually look at a still image of their art. everything posted is a supercut of the art process or vibes type stuff

     further studies into the reels-ification of everything: I’ve got some horrible new ui where a post shared via DMs opens in a reels UI even if it is not a reel. annoying because now you’ve got floating icons and a truncated description 😬

     this is driving me bonkers it’s like gorgeous stuff filmed with a million cuts and movements and you have to pause the video at the exact moment to actually look at the work itself
