   I'm heartbroken.

   The first round of presidential elections in #Romania ended. First place: a pro-russian, fascist candidate, who has been peddling for strengthening our ties with Russia. A candidate who repeatedly said that the Iron Guard fascists of Romania, those who enacted pogroms, are heroes.

   Second place - the candidate of the opposition to the establishment. A woman. Her discourse has become more progressive as the campaign went on.

     The Russian press is elated.

     Meanwhile, the Romanian press is still in shock. Some erroneously characterize him as "Marxist". Most describe his ascension as a shock. But was it?

     Călin Georgescu's campaign relied on TikTok and social media. He declared that he spent no money on his political campaign. Yet TikTok has run rampant with bots urging users to vote for him, in the comment sections.

     Hopefully everyone in #Romania 🇷🇴 will turn out for the lady. The other guy seems reactionary & highly critical of #NATO.
