     Hear me out. The pentagon has a defense system that includes controlled explosive devices at point of intrusion. This destroys the intruding object before it does further damage, and because the blast is controlled, protects the remainder of the building. Thr destroyed area is effectively segmented.

     Yeah. Just a theory, but it would make some sense as to why we see an explosion at that point in time, and it wouldn't be surprising if such a defense system existed.
     
     I'm not saying 9/11 isn't otherwise suspect.
