     @einalex I never said either was organised badly. Two different approaches to conferences, two different sets of target audiences. Both successful in theory and respective ways since many years.

     My point is:

     If more people want to come than is legally allowed, you have to manage entry.

     If you don't have money, you need some form of income to finance the event.

     You may not like it, but that doesn't mean it's designed/organized badly. It is not.

     Volunteers used to get a shirt for free. They don't mention that in their website anymore. Does anybody know about that?
