   People like Makary wrongly predicting the end of COVID contributed to hundreds of thousands of deaths in the Omicron wave as they convinced many to not get vaccinated or continue wearing a mask. Makary leading the FDA, which is responsible for food and drug safety, endangers more lives.

     Trump FDA pick Marty Makary wrongly predicted the pandemic would be over by April 2021.

     Later in 2021, hundreds of thousands of people would die in the US from the Omicron wave, one of the worst of the pandemic.
