   The myth that neoliberalism opened borders is the exact opposite of what happened. NAFTA, WTO, and Operation Gatekeeper (Clinton’s militarization of the border and change in US policy that explicitly used thirst/violence as a deterrent) all began within in the same 365 day period

     There’s a lot here I think is fine but there’s zero pushback or even acknowledgement Murphy was central to pushing Dems hard right turn on “border security” except for one vaguely creepy reference to “our borders started to get erased”. Would love someone to push him on this
