   has anyone built a tool for indexing and searching your own Mastodon posts? some notes:

   a) I mostly just want to search my own posts, maybe also people's replies to me
   b) I'm aware of (and sometimes use) mastodon's elasticsearch support, but it only returns 40 results at a time and I'd like to be able to get all results instantly
   c) imagining something that uses SQLite full text search or something
   d) might also extend it to index / search my other social media posts

     @b0rk not properlym, but in the same vein (and maybe the same results), but I export and download, on a monthly basis, my archive of Mastodon posts, and made a script that essentially greps its contents and returns the posts (including text and URL) that match.

     @b0rk I use mastodon-archive https://src.alexschroeder.ch/mastodon-archive.git/ . I run it every now and then to sync all my own posts and the replies from others. The regex search regularly saves me a ton of time when I need to reference a post (either mine or someone elses) which would otherwise take hours of scrolling to find, or would sometimes vanish entirely due to broken content retention (https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/discussions/19260).
