     @waifu The date input that org-mode has is probably one of the most efficient interfaces ever, especially once you get the dialect it has for specifying times and dates, like + meaning tomorrow and so on.

     @waifu The date input is intuitive, I think you can even use it with a mouse if you really want to.

     @waifu I think there are some basic implementations for the .org format in other editors, but I can't tell how feature complete or good they are.

     @waifu @tofu no it's just a text file, but emacs showcases actually integrates, and if you open it with a different text editor it just looks like the stuff you typed in without the extra integration.

     @lain @waifu does anytype support creating drawings like with a tablet? that's the one thing I'm unhappy with in Obsidian. I use the excalidraw plugin but it's not that great.

     @lain @waifu I have found over the years that keeping absolutely everything "in one place" is the most important thing you can do. Just being able to control+f your entire life is the biggest factor in not losing track of tasks and knowledge.

     @waifu @lain I should seriously take a look at this. Besides lacking a native drawing capability, my only real criticism of obsidian is that organizational tools like calendars and todo lists are second class citizens. I like the freeform writing nature of it to minimize distractions, but I wish I had a way for it to guide me more than I guide it.

     @waifu @lain I did see that it has an android app. Obsidian does too and it works well... ish. It's technically fine but the nature of obsidians interface does not not mesh well with mobile. I don't mind it really, just another data point.

     @waifu @lain yeah I didn't see any drawing capabilities or extensions at all this looks like it isn't really a market for me. I honestly don't really understand why this isn't a market that's being capitalized on.
