   frick. so i *can* scan the qr code on my librem5 but my vlc gitlab account would be attached to my email address.
   
   i could register a throwaway email address but then if i report the issue using the account assigned to my phone, then the issue is a de-facto connection between my phone and me [which defeats the point of a privacy phone].
   
   friggin' vlc why can't i just report a flaw without telling you who i am

     oh right, 3.0.20 was broken too and i had to have a bunch of changes to get it to compile (didn't do a great job of making patches apparently)
