   The nice thing about mastodon being open source is that it can roll out new features much faster than anything developed by a corporation, like how linux always gets critical security updates earlier than windows does. Like, remember 2 weeks ago when everyone started talking about Bluesky's starter packs and what a good idea they were, and then mastodon pilfered the idea and merged a slightly janky but working implementation of starter packs within 2 days of the idea going viral?

     The bad news is that it seems that it doesn't work with static sites (I thought that it was implemented by looking at rel="me" links on the webpage)
