Want to print your #Linux and #Unix manual pages? Try

Save the PostScript version to a file:
    man -t {command} {command}|.ps
    man -t date date.ps
    file date.ps
    xdg-open date.ps

You send the PostScript directly to default printer:
    man -t {command} | lp

This will send date manual page to the printer named hp0:
    man -t date | lpr -Php0

@nixCraft I find man pages easier to read when using the PostScript renderer than the text-mode renderer, the problem is that there are so many steps needed to get to the file you want.

Here's my take on it, a script that opens a manual page as a PDF (pages can then be printed if wanted):

@magitian @nixCraft Yeah, but then it needs some other way to get rid of the temporary file, as xdg-open exits immediately.

@nafmo @nixCraft xdg-open would make more sense than hardcoding "evince", since it opens the default pdf reader/application.
