     @idiot There will never be a "Linux desktop", as Linux is only a kernel that doesn't operate on its own.
     
     Xorg or other X11 implementations are cross OS - it works on GNU/Linux, GNU/Hurd, the BSDs and there are even implementations on Android and windows.
     
     "Red Hat" is no more - it's just IBM.
