   Recently there is a strong increase in broadcast and online personalities my age (John Oliver) down to ten years younger than me (Ryan George) saying things like "old guys like me", "but that's because I'm old" and straight up "I am very old".

     My mom and dad are almost twice my age. I hesitate to call them "very old", they're pretty spry, and as I have been here for the journey, they seem to me pretty much the same people I was living with near the end of last century.

     The two guys who were the main Presidential candidates in the US election before the summer are younger than my dad. I hesitate less to call them "very old".
