     you can for sure build your own rifle for like 500 but you're gonna probably spend like 700-1500 to buy an AR. Then 100-1000+ on an optic and 150+ on a white light, ~50 on a sling. Then you buy 7 mags (non negotiable, you have to buy 7 at least) at 17-20 a pop
     
     It's not cheap
